Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress who is also a TV hostess and comedian. Panganiban has been dubbed the "new Queen of Drama" by numerous media publications. She is also recognized as among the Philippines best-known and versatile actors. The name angelica roots implies only the root of the plant is used. Angelica participated in the American version of Got Talent season 12, in which she made it through the auditions in the first round. Her rendition to Rise Up performed by Andra Days helped her pass. Angelica got an award of gold from the guest Judge Chris Hardwick in the Judge Cuts Round, after she performed Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys. She was then sent straight into the Live Shows. The live performances she sang the song Clarity of Zedd in the Quarterfinals as well as Without You By David Guetta for her Semifinals performance. Angelica was then able to make it to the finals in which she sang Symphony from Clean Bandit. The final episode featured her performing Stronger, along with Kelly Clarkson. In the end, she finished in second place and became the youngest ever finalist on the show. The year 2012 was the year that Angelica Hale was just 4 years old she became very sick with a double pneumonia attributed to an aggressive strep pneumococcal bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston gave her ECMO an intervention that saved her life. She went septic and experienced multiple organ failure, including her kidneys, which failed to heal. Her new norm was hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. Over the course of the 80 days she spent in the medical center, her world was changed completely. After nearly a year and half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the largest surgery of her life-her kidney transplant. The kidney she would receive from only her mother. Angelica Hale and her mother had the transplant of a kidney in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13 2013. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her goals of becoming a star ever since.
